Longitudinal genetic study.

Project description

The genetics of neurodevelopmental disorders research group, mainly affiliated with the Ste-Justine University Hospital Center, works closely with families to better understand developmental and medical difficulties linked to genetic mutations. In order to advance research on these specific mutations, one or several family members (who have a family members carrying a genetic variant/mutation associated with a developmental disorder) participate in this project.

The project includes a neuropsychological and behavioral assessment (to measure social and linguistic cognitive skills) and an electroencephalogram (to measure brain activity). Some participants can also complete a brain magnetic resonance (to measure different brain structures) and a blood test (to take DNA and perform genetic tests).
